Child, Youth, Family and Community Worker

The opportunity is for a part-time (20 hours per week, Mon to Thursday - days/hours flexible) Child, Youth, Family and Community Worker based in our Albion Park office.

What you need

Essential Criteria

  1. Tertiary Qualifications in Child Development, Youth Work, Community Development, Social Sciences, or related discipline
  2. Experience in developing responsive programs and events to address identified needs of children aged 0 – 5, young people aged 8 – 14, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, and young parents with known vulnerabilities
  3. Understanding of and willingness to follow all applicable legislation, policies, procedures, risk management practices, WHS, and Child Safe Standards including child protection
  4. Demonstrable experience of child and adolescent development, including neurodiverse individuals
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a collaborative environment
  6. Excellent stakeholder engagement, networking and relationship building including developing partnerships and opportunities for collaboration
  7. Exceptional time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
  8. Strong interpersonal skills and cultural awareness, including the ability to negotiate conflict
  9. Demonstrate the ability to use business technologies, complete administrative tasks and analyse data and information effectively
  10. Current First Aid Certificate & paid Working With Children Check
  11. Current Drivers Licence and access to reliable comprehensively insured vehicle
  12. Fully vaccinated against COVID-19

Desirable Criteria

  1. Familiarity with DEX Data Reporting System
  2. Training in and experience delivering evidence-based programs for children, youth, parents or families

Community Programs Assistant 

The opportunity is for a Contract role until end of June 2022 with the possibility of extension. The role is part-time (18 hours per week, Mon to Thursday - days/hours flexible) Community Programs Assistant based in our Albion Park office.

What you need
