The ANMF (Tasmanian Branch) is searching for a Business Support Officer who will be responsible for providing general administrative support and to work in conjunction with the Business and Organising Support Teams to ensure the efficient processing of outgoing communication and provide support with general office duties within the ANMF (Tas Branch).
The Business Support Officer is responsible for providing support via tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:
Facilitating communication with members using mediums such as:
- SMS Text Messaging (including checking SMS replies weekly, or more often if the particular SMS warrants it e.g. asks for a response)
- Survey Monkey.
- Processing and sending letters.
- Processing and sending fliers (via MailChimp).
Work effectively with all Branch Staff.
Promote the Branch positively to internal and external clients.
Gain an understanding of the roles, structure and operation of the ANMF (Tas Branch).
Attend meetings and in-service education as required.
Undertake personal and professional development as required.
Work with minimal supervision to achieve set outcomes.
Work within relevant legislative requirements, ANMF (Tas Branch) policy, guidelines and instructions.
Hard copy and electronic filing.
Assistance in the coordination of Workplace Representative training sessions when required.
On occasion assist with other duties such as laminating nursing reference cards and conference preparation.
Qualifications, skills and experience:
Certificate III in Business Administration and /or demonstrated experience in a similar administrative role working within the office environment.
Demonstrated ability to work within a team, operate autonomously and seek direction as required.
Highly developed written and communication skills, with a high standard of accuracy and attention to detail.
Excellent computing skills including Work, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, with a proven ability to learn new systems.
Ability to engage and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
Demonstrated high level organisational skills, time management with the ability to prioritise workflow to meet deadlines.
Commitment to the principles of Unionism.
The position is fixed term (6 months) / part time (0.5FTE).
