Bendelta is a leading management consulting firm headquartered in Sydney. We specialise in leadership and capability development, organisational architecture, strategy, change and capability, insights and analytics, executive coaching.

Our vision is to directly enable 1 million people to achieve more of their potential and then, through cascading impact, indirectly transform the lives of 1 billion people.

We have 70 Bendeltans in our family, spread across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Canberra.

Bendelta is streamlining our operations to ensure we are as efficient as possible and to optimise our capabilities to support future business growth.

A key focus area is to improve the quality of our proposals and to free the rest of the team up to focus on delivering the projects and building relationships.

Improving the quality of our proposals includes ensuring that the proposals are written to an extremely high standard, positioning Bendelta in a consistent manner and leveraging and maximising on our inhouse knowledge.

To support the Proposal writer we are setting up a New Business Centre with support resources who among other things will be responsible for collating and managing all new business assets. This includes case studies, bios, headshots, logos, existing blurbs about Bendelta and previous proposals organised by sector and/or discipline. The aim is for you to have everything you need at your fingertips.

Over time more Writers may be added to the New Business Centre at various levels, once we better assess the workload.

You will be charged with writing new business proposals. The proposals  span across our core business units of Leadership Development, Organisation Design, Strategy, Coaching, Culture, Insights and Analytics and Executive Teams.

We will assess the volume to ensure you are given a reasonable amount to work on.

This role requires a very tight knit and collaborative relationship with the Project Leads, New Business Coordinator and the Design Team.

The New Business Coordinator will liaise with the Project Managers and Project Leads on deadlines and logistics to free you up to focus on writing.

You will also have access to a Design team to help bring your proposals to life.

Responsibilities include:

  • Writing proposals based on a thorough brief from the Project Lead. The Project Lead will often be writing part of the proposal, if a specific approach or methodology is required that they need to develop. When this is the case, you need to ensure that roles and responsibilities are clear for each proposal. The Project Lead is responsible for the end result of the proposal and will make the final call, but we will ensure you receive adequate time to rework anything they write, and you will see the final proposal before it is submitted.
  • A clear and succinct writing style with a consistent tone of voice that is professional but with some personality.
  • Create a top level best practice Proposal writing guide to be used during the interim period when we don’t have enough Writers to handle all proposals.
  • Create templated proposals blurbs which can also be used in the interim period when we don’t have enough Writers to handle all proposals.
  • While you are not responsible for managing the New Business Coordinator, you need to mentor them and ensure they are clear on what you require.
  • Continually look for ways to improve the quality of our proposals.
  • In the future, manage more junior Writers, if required.
  • Nurture and build an open, honest, and strong relationship with the team and any external partners
