Building our team

We’re looking for an experienced General Manager Operations to lead all aspects of manufacturing and vessel construction. Reporting to the CEO, you will be responsible for ensuring that Incat’s world class vessels are delivered on time and within budget. You will review Incat’s current production processes and implement modern manufacturing principles with a focus on continuous improvement.

This position will be based at our shipyard in the picturesque Prince of Wales Bay, just 7km from Hobart’s city centre. 

In this role, you'll be responsible for:

  • Leading and managing manufacturing operations
  • Developing and implementing systems and processes that drive consistency, efficiency, and quality
  • Developing initiatives designed to improve productivity 
  • Providing leadership to operational departments to motivate a professional and effective team culture
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Providing strategic advice and reports to the executive team on production activities and vessel construction 

We’re looking for:

  • Significant demonstrated experience in managing manufacturing operations or other management level responsibilities in a comparable production environment. 
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Ability to implement change and lead manufacturing improvement initiatives
  • Formal qualifications in operational management or manufacturing processes are desirable
