  • Support community access to high quality, accessible care for COVID-19 in north western Melbourne
  • Full time, fixed term role to 30 June 2022
  • Access to salary packaging benefits up to $18,550
  • Flexible and supportive professional environment

The Project Officer, COVID-19 Operations will be key in supporting the development, implementation, and monitoring of General Practice Respiratory Clinics (GPRCs) within the NWMPHN region.

New GPRCs will be rapidly set up across metropolitan Melbourne to increase access to COVID-19 testing and respiratory assessments, closer to where people live. GPRCs will allow adults and children with low acuity respiratory symptoms to access high quality, accessible care in the community, rather than presenting to a hospital setting.

A focus of the role is managing relationships and contracts with GPRC providers and supporting engagement and linkages within the broader health system.

A typical week will involve:

  • Implementing and monitoring a robust project management methodology to support the implementation and monitoring of GPRCs in the NWMPHN region
  • Establishing and implementing monitoring and evaluation plans that are informed by stakeholder feedback and will contribute to the evidence base about what works
  • Working collaboratively and proactively with other PHN staff, and external stakeholders, to support the successful implementation of initiatives and achievement of outcomes

We're looking for someone with:

  • Demonstrated project management and problem-solving skills, including identification and implementation of workable solutions to problems
  • Capacity to work both autonomously and in a self-managed team environment with an agile and fast paced mindset to achieve project milestones
  • Understanding of the Australian primary health care system
  • Understanding of the role of Primary Health Networks as commissioners for the delivery of primary health care

Who would you be working for?

We are North Western Melbourne Primary Health Network - Victoria's largest independent, locally governed and run, not-for-profit PHN - dedicated to improving primary health care in our community.

PHNs have been established with the key objectives of:

  • Increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of medical services for patients
  • Improving coordination of care to ensure patients receive the right care in the right place, at the right time

Our commitment to you:

  • Structured onboarding and support
  • A friendly and supportive professional environment, including teams with a wealth of skills and experiences across a range of areas
  • Continuous learning and development opportunities
  • Salary packaging and leave loading
