About the role

As a Support Worker, you play a vital role in supporting people to live their best life and we’d love you to join our Supported Independent Living and Community Access team as we grow our services.

This is an opportunity to join a team who are highly motivated and committed to deliver innovative and contemporary models of support that demonstrate positive impact to people with physical and psychosocial disabilities.

We are offering 4 part-time positions with a minimum of 30 hrs per fortnight as well as several casual positions.

About you

You will be: 

  • Someone who enjoys life and wants to support our participants, and helps participants to build their capacity to maintain their independence where possible
  • Present in the moment and give positive encouragement to our participants
  • Flexible and can adapt to changes day to day
  • Person-centred and know how to provide strength-based support

So, if this sounds like you, keep reading as there are a few more things Uniting will need you to have such as:

  • A qualification in Disability or relevant demonstrated experience
  • A current First Aid, Medication Administration and Manual Handling Certificates
  • A valid C class Australian driver's licence and your own reliable vehicle
  • An NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
  • Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module

It is also essential to have an approved COVID-19 vaccination - evidence of vaccination will be requested prior to your interview.
