Job tasks and responsibilities

  • Ensuring the data integrity of the general ledger and that financial information is accurately reported and compliant with current accounting standards and financial reporting requirements.
  • Preparing comprehensive, accurate multiple financial reports, within set timelines, satisfying financial reporting obligations and compliance.
  • Weekly and monthly internal sales and P&L reporting 
  • Reconciliation work papers for all Balance Sheet accounts and bank accounts
  • Effectively managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Contributing to efficiency initiatives and input into project teams concerning system upgrades.
  • Reconciliation of intercompany invoices with multiple currencies.
  • Investigation of all reconciliation variances and issues, reporting of variance analysis as required
  • Assist with preparation of Budgeting and Forecasting
  • Assist and analyse month end process in production unit
  • Maintain Fixed Assets Register, including additions, disposals and write-off’s
  • Perform financial modelling including trend and variance analysis across multiple projects and business units

Skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration or a similar field.
  • CPA or CA
  • At least 10 years hands-on accounting experience.
  • Excellent Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.
