About the Enterprise Division

We operate 4 subsidiary businesses, Bukmak Constructions, Manapan Furniture, Rulku Lodge and Dinybulu Regional Services.

Our construction business, Bukmak Constructions is a 100% Aboriginal owned subsidiary business of ALPA. Bukmak Constructions, established in 2016 by the ALPA Board of Directors, has grown into a substantial contractor, delivering related works in East Arnhem Land whilst providing skilling and training for the Yolngu employees directly working on the awarded substantial contract works.

Rulku Lodge provides accommodation in Millingimbi

Dinybulu Regional Services supports a Mechanical workshop, Accommodation Lodge, Homelands Services and civil & logistics within the Ramingining Community.

About the role

The newly created position of Contract Administration officer will require you to provide a wide range of administrative support within the Enterprise division. You will be responsible but not limited to scheduling, despatching, monitoring tasks, and undertaking general administration duties such as directing incoming calls, invoicing, data entry and file management alongside providing support for site based employees.

COVID – 19 vaccination is a mandatory requirement for all new ALPA employees from 01 November 2021.

  • Manage all aspects of multiple Contract administration.
  • Provide administrative assistance, service and advice in respect of the preparation of correspondence and reports.
  • Provide timely, accurate information and advice to professional and technical project officers and management on all aspects of the programs.
  • Register and monitor incoming contractor/supplier invoices to ensure timely processing is achieved.
  • Ensure quality reports are prepared and provided to management
  • Administration of contracts.
  • Manage all aspects of direct contract administration, whist providing general administrative support to the unit.
  • Coordinate and manage travel arrangements for the division staff and contractors
  • Prepare; purchase orders and receipt invoices
  • Prepare; tax invoices to customers
  • Support management and wider team with general administration duties
Skills and Experience
  • Demonstrated high-level interpersonal, written and oral communication skills that facilitate professional and effective communication with all levels of personnel including external contractors.
  • Proven ability to handle and prioritise multiple tasks simultaneously, including analysing data, by adjusting priorities to meet competing deadlines.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment, and work under pressure calmly with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability in the use of computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook or similar systems or the ability to quickly acquire this knowledge.
  • High degree of professional integrity, discretion and confidentiality with a commitment to professional development.
  • Good skills in maintaining data integrity with thoroughness, attention to detail and accuracy.
  • The capacity to link daily activities to the ALPA values and mission.
  • An ability to obtain and maintain an NT driving license
  • Understanding of Government processes, systems and reporting requirements
