About the Role
This is an exciting time for us with the recent opening of our new Canberra office and, as such, we are looking for a corporate receptionist/administrator to join the team, on a part time basis (Monday to Wednesday).
Within this role you can be sure to have a varied and interesting range of work where you will have responsibility for both front of house activities and also to assist with administrative and secretarial support to the team.
We are looking for a mid to late January start date.
On a day to day basis your role will include:

  • Providing reception cover throughout the day
  • Incoming call management
  • Meeting and greeting clients
  • Managing meeting room bookings
  • Assisting with client and employee events, Learning & Development sessions and seminars
  • Arranging refreshments and catering as required for client and other meetings/events and any other requirements
  • Ensuring stationery, office and kitchen supplies are maintained
  • Engaging and/or dealing with suppliers/contractors
Legal Assistant:
  • File maintenance - electronic and paper
  • Dictation
  • Preparation, editing and updating correspondence and legal documents including the use of precedents, style guides and firm standards
  • Managing emails,  diaries and voicemail for the team
  • Assisting with time sheets entries to ensure they are up to date and accurate
  • End of month billing
  • Opening and closing clients files (including archiving)
About You
The successful candidate will have/be:
  • Experience working in either the APS or a corporate environment in a receptionist and/or administrative role
  • Comfortable to work both autonomously and within the wider team
  • Comfortable in multi-tasking across a variety of front of house and administration tasks
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent literacy
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Plan and prioritise work to meet deadlines
  • Exceptional communication and administration skills
  • Take pride in your professional presentation and commitment to superior customer service
  • Able to communicate in a professional manner with both our clients and your colleagues
  • Active team member, completing tasks and assisting others to complete tasks
  • Develop good working relationships
  • Possess a strong work ethic and enthusiasm for their work and uses their initiative
  • Use discretion and deal with sensitive information appropriately
