A great opportunity exists for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and customer focused person to join the clerical team at our Consulting Suites on part time basis. The function of this position is to perform reception and associated office duties for the specialist consultants who utilise the facilities of the Consulting Suites of the West Gippsland Healthcare Group as well as any other duties deemed appropriate by the Practice Manager. 

This is a part time position of 24 hours (3 days) per week, exact hours will be negotiated with the successful applicant.

We are looking for applicants with the following skills/experience/knowledge;

  • Experience in providing frontline medical reception services, administrative and office support functions in a GP, Specialist clinic or similar environment.
  • Sound computer skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge of health privacy principles.
  • Knowledge of MBS billing


  • Certificate in Health or Business Administration.
  • Familiarity with Genie medical software.
  • An understanding of medical terminology.


IMPORTANT: All staff employed in the healthcare sector are required to be vaccinated for COVID-19 (unless a valid exemption applies). Evidence of vaccination (or exemption) will be required to be provided prior to commencement.

The administrative headquarters are located at West Gippsland Hospital in Warragul, approximately 100kms east of Melbourne.
