An exciting opportunity is now available with our client who is a community organisation with a major focus on Family day care & kindergarten services. They are looking for a professional HR Business Partner. This is permanent opportunity, in a critical role within an established HR Function. 

The company is a not-for-profit organisation, with the aim to build strong communities by educating & caring for children, support for families & empower the communities. 

Reporting directly to the GM People & Culture, who is extremely supportive, has a prolific background across the not for profit space and is all about mentoring and empowering. You will also be join 2 x fellow HR Business Partners & 2 x HR Advisors that have extensive knowledge and there for support.

The HR Business Partner acts as a key strategic partner to program leaders
across the organisation. They work with key stakeholders to implement strategies to improve engagement, culture and partner practices and company performance. They guide, support and align high quality workforce planning, talent management, performance management and change management.

  • Open to part time arrangements (5 hours per day etc) 
  • Located in Melbourne western suburbs! Main 4 Kindergarten sites to look after are dotted around the west (Tarneit etc)
  • Attractive Salary - you can choose whichever you want below:
    • Full time (1.0 FTE) $116,000 Package Inc super and salary packaging ($90,000 Base + Super & $16,000 Salary Packaging) 
    • OR if you would like shortened hours, they are happy to have a 0.9 FTE or 0.8 FTE 
  • Supportive and established HR team with a extremely warm and empower manager/mentor 
  • Flexible culture in terms of personal/family commitments & working from home (2 days a week)
Role responsibilities:
  • Talent Management 
    • There is an element in recruitment for this position. Providing HR advice, strategy and direction to help attract, retain and engage a high quality workforce
    • Assisting the development and review of workforce plans
  • Culture Alignment
    • Facilitate discussion on high performing teams
    • Assist leaders to discuss and drive culture through team and leadership behaviours
  • Performance & Risk Management
    • Support and guide disciplinary matters to ensure legislative compliance.
    • Conduct and/or guide investigations into misconduct, bullying and harassment, discrimination and other potential misconduct.
    • Some travel required to the HQ in Glen Waverley & Geelong site
    • Support leaders in the effective and timely investigation and handling of grievances.
    • Identify and respond to the needs of leaders in managing partner performance.
    • Build capability in performance leadership by providing advice to leaders on coaching and improving performance, and managing disciplinary issues.
About you:   
  • Previous experience in a people and culture business partnership or employee relations role supporting a range of programs
  • Experience in the ECEC Sector (and/or Not for Profit sector) an advantage.
  • A team player with proven ability to build excellent relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Demonstrated organisational and time management skills, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Solutions focused with well-developed liaison and negotiation skills
  • Excellent customer service, people and influencing capabilities.
  • Proven ability to independently manage complex workloads
  • Ability to work independently and co-operatively in a team environment, with an innovative, supportive and flexible approach to work
  • Must have a full license and access to car
  • Must be fully vaccinated
