About the role

We are seeking an experienced, energetic and positive chef to join our team. We are looking for a Sous Chef to assist in leading the team in delivering high quality food to our valued customers. We can offer great hospitality hours (no super late nights, possible option of a 4 day working week) and a friendly and supportive team to work with, along with a competitive salary. Our kitchen facilities and equipment are new and modern and we are proud to be a surf club bistro offering a great quality menu and experience to our customers. All while knowing the good work we put in is assisting our Surf Life Saving volunteer activities.

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for candidates with the following attributes:

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and public holidays
  • Experience with grill, pan and fryer work in a fast paced environment
  • Creative and passionate about food and providing high standards of food service
  • High cleanliness standards
  • Positive attitude and ability to thrive under pressure
  • Great team player with a can do attitude
  • Experience in ordering and food preparation schedules
  • Great organisational skills
