Do you have a disability? We need you!

Here at ADWebKey, we embrace your disability as a special skill set to help us give advice to companies, government bodies and corporations to improve their websites and mobile applications so individuals with a disability can use them easier, and as they were intended.

We train you up, you work from home (but have the option to come into our Perth city-based office as well), and get paid for your expertise in your own disability to help others access the information that should be available to all.

Sound good? We think so!

Which Disabilities?

We are currently looking for:

  • Blind or low-vision users
  • Users who use Dragon Naturally Speaking software to dictate

We hire often, so if you don’t fit into these categories, don’t despair! Keep an eye out as we may need you in the future. Alternatively, send us an email at with your disability and resume so we can come knocking on your door in the future.

If you DO fit into one (or more) of these categories, we invite you to apply today.

Hours of work

You will be employed in a casual capacity which can range from no work some weeks, to 2-4 hours other weeks. Our work for our Usability Analysts can be sporadic, and you have the option to opt-in or opt-out of jobs as it fits your schedule. This should not be your main form of income, as we cannot guarantee hours on an ongoing basis.

Skills Required

We will require you to:

  • Have effective communication skills (we all work from home, so emails need to be replied to within 24hrs so we can plan our projects effectively)
  • Have access to a computer, mobile phone and internet services
  • Be proficient in writing and speaking in English
  • Be comfortable writing short reports on how you experience a website in accordance to your specific disability, and what could be improved.
  • Be able to take constructive feedback and work as part of a multi-disciplinary team with others with disabilities that may be similar or different to your own.

We start all our Usability Analysts on $25.00 per hour, with the opportunity to increase to $30.00 per hour once proficient in reporting ability and proven good communication skills.

What’s next?

  1. If you fit into the category (ies) of disability we are currently hiring, feel that you have the skills required to apply and are content with the hours of work and remuneration- please apply!
  2. Check out our website to get an idea of who we are and what we do
  3. Please send a copy of your CV, as well as address the following in your cover letter:
    1. Address the position description, skills required and why you’d be perfect for the job
    2. Tell us about your disability
      1. Whatever you’re comfortable with sharing, your background and how it effects you using websites, forms and/or documents.
    3. Webpage Review
      1. Have a look at a webpage of your choosing, and provide us the link.
        1. (Try not to do something overly-simple like the Google Homepage. Maybe try a government webpage)
      2. Write 200-400 words on how you find the website. Good aspects, bad aspects, and how your specific disability is affected by it. Can you “see” everything? Can you find what you’re looking for? Is anything moving that distracts you? Be creative, and think about how others with your disability (or on the spectrum of your disability) may be affected.
      3. This doesn’t need to be perfect, doesn’t need to be an essay with an introduction and conclusion. Just a brief review!
  4. Wait
    1. Yes, the hard bit!
    2. We will respond via Seek or email to let you know of the next steps and whether we would like to interview you. This may be in-person or remotely.
