Are you driven to see the Good News of Jesus Christ proclaimed in the world?

Do you want to create a community where people clearly hear the call to faith through the work of the Holy Spirit?

Would you like an opportunity to utilise your evangelical gifts with the backing, resources and facilities of an established school community?

The Opportunity

Faith Lutheran College, Plainland is a growing Lutheran Secondary school, located mid-way between Ipswich and Toowoomba in south-east Queensland. Currently meeting the educational needs of more than 750 high school aged students, with a community which encompasses more than 600 families, the ministry field of our College is expanding rapidly, and presents an opportunity for us, as an extension of the Lutheran Church of Australia, to invite a School-Based Church Planter to join our team, as we look to proclaim and share the Good News of Jesus Christ across, through and beyond our College community.

This newly-created role involves four key dimensions, and will build on the foundation of Christian ministry currently at work within the College:

  • Church Planting
  • Evangelism and Discipleship
  • Ministry Equipping
  • School-Based Ministry

This position is seen as key in terms of Faith Lutheran College's Strategic Direction, which is guided by our ongoing vision: “Awakening potential and empowering learners for purposeful lives through Christ.”

Given the pivotal nature of this role, much care has been taken to ensure that the right candidate will be equipped and resourced for success, with access to College resources and facilities, and the support of the Senior Leadership Team.

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Church Planter, with a passion for seeing others come to know Jesus, and the gifting and skills to help us realise and fulfil our College's role in the Great Commission. The role is offered in a full-time capacity, with a salary at a designated LCA Lay Worker Award level, with immediate start on offer for the right candidate.
