We have a great opportunity for a Customer Service Officer to join the team on a permanent full-time basis in our Scoresby office/distribution centre. Reporting to the Customer Experience Manager, you will provide advice and support to Penguin Random House customers ensuring all requirements are fully met.
This is a Monday-Friday role. There are limited public transport options in the area so you may need access to a vehicle.
Key responsibilities include:
- Handle inbound telephone calls to the customer service department to ensure first contact resolution and call direction to the correct area
- Entry of all received customer orders/requests
- Manage general requests and queries from the internal sales department
- Escalate customer issues i.e. liaise with senior team members, sales, and freight companies to resolve customer issues
- Attend to and rectify any problems regarding customer's orders
The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years' experience working in a customer service telephone role (e.g. 50 calls per day). You will have worked with high-order volumes and ideally across a diverse range of products.
You will have clear and effective communication, high attention to detail, enjoy helping people and problem solving to ensure a positive customer experience. Intermediate Microsoft Office skills including excel are essential.
