Have you always wanted to be a part of the Lymphoma Australia team? This is your opportunity as we are looking for our newest Lymphoma Care Nurse. 

Lymphoma Australia is the only charity solely dedicated to providing information, education, support, awareness and advocacy for Australians affected by Lymphoma and CLL. 

Objectives of the Role:
1. To represent Lymphoma Australia as a lymphoma nurse leader state-wide
2. Promote Lymphoma Australia’s agenda and support services
3. To work with your state’s member of the Medical Advisory Committee for state-wide strategies for Lymphoma
4. Develop relationships with cancer centres state-wide
5. Visit and/or develop key contacts in cancer centres within metropolitan, regional and rural areas
6. Lymphoma education, awareness and support for patients, carers and health professionals both state and
nation wide when required
7. Lymphoma/CLL education presentations to nurses and health professionals as required
8. Promote and increase membership of the Lymphoma Nurse Special Interest Group
9. Provide input for nurse and patient newsletters
10. Lymphoma Australia education events to patients and carers within metro, regional and rural areas as required
11. Promote and/or attend Lymphoma Australia awareness and funding raising events as required
12. Lymphoma Australia nurse telephone support line; to provide information, advice, education and support for
those affected by lymphoma and CLL
13. Lymphoma Australia online support and education for patients and carers through private Facebook group

14. To assist and facilitate referrals to appropriate organisations and/or health professionals
15. Assist in the development of Lymphoma Australia education resources
16. Promote and educate on current lymphoma clinical trials both state and nation wide
17. To attend state-wide and national lymphoma related education meetings and conferences when required

Key Selection Criteria:
• Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience demonstrated in haematology/oncology cancer care 
• Post graduate studies desirable
• AHPRA nursing registration

  • Ability to work from home
    • Vehicle and licence
    • Availability to travel
    • Ability to work within a national team
    • Good interpersonal skills

    Knowledge and Skills:
    • Comprehensive understanding of cancer with specialist knowledge of lymphoma and CLL
    • Experience in dealing with patients, carers and health professionals
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills written, verbal and public speaking
    • Computer skills: email, internet and database
