This course is the prerequisite for entry into the Master of Architecture. The course covers the design of buildings, the technical aspects of building construction, how architecture relates to people and how they live, and the communication of architectural ideas through written and spoken reports, photographs, drawings, models and the electronic media. Students not intending to continue on to the Master may use the knowledge gained in this course to seek employment within the architectural profession or building industry.

The delivery of the course was ideal for my circumstances (working and freelancing while studying), but the administration was pretty profoundly incompetent, and the course content was almost always incorrectly loaded at the start of units.
