Why study this course

The degree is aimed at students who wish to pursue a career in forensic science as a laboratory scientist. With this emphasis in mind, a strong biological chemistry component has been integrated into the degree structure. Forensic science subjects are taken throughout the course to provide the necessary specialisation to complement the broader laboratory science / human science aspects of the degree. UC emphasise, in particular, the laboratory-based fields of forensic biology and forensic chemistry, and cover areas such as the collection and examination of trace evidence, environmental forensic science, toxicology, forensic statistics, specialised chemical/biological analyses, and the interpretation and reporting of analytical results.

Student review
Subjects were interesting though it would have been nice if they had not made cuts and had to merge courses - this created difficult courses with bad outcomes for students.
