Doing Biomedical Science in UTS has been a very pleasant experience. The content were all current and relevant to the industry and its a very competitive course to get to. Unfortunately, based on experience after completing the course most students like me did not get a job related to this degree and were digressed to different employment roles in society where we had plenty of experience. For my case, I had plenty of experience in retail, sales and management. Hence, I'm now employed as a Customer Services Consultant for a hearing aid company. It was hard to get a job straight after completing the degree. There weren't much job vacancies then and there was not much help given by the university regarding employment options and internshipa within the course itself. You have to go and find it yourself. It was a let down when for me because I completed the degree with flying colours but I'm not using it all that much today. Had I known that this will happen, I would've picked Nursing instead. Now, I'm thinking of doing further study and to maybe doing Nursing or Audiology.

Unfortunately, a career in biomedical science is getting harder and harder to pursue in Australia. Although this course covers a wide range of industry applicable subjects, there is little that prepares you for the hunt for a job post graduation.
