Why study this course

This degree will give sport enthusiasts an insight into how sport is managed, presented and promoted. It explores the business of sport-specific operations through theory and work experience in the industry. First year includes studies in economics, accounting and finance, sport management and sport marketing. Students will examine the business structures, culture and performance management principles that underpin the sporting industry. Second year explores the social and economic policies of sport through business law, sport development, sport media, sport facility management and human resources management studies. Students have the chance to apply theory and develop industry connections in third year as it includes a work placement, workshops that develop employability, and core subjects in volunteer management, sport sponsorship and sport event management.

Studying a Bachelor of Business (Sport Management) you're getting exposed to the sports industry and learning from Lecturers and Tutors that have relevant experience in the field and know what they're teaching, they teach current subjects and push you with not only knowledge but also exposing and introducing you to positions currently in the industry and incredible opportunities. They don't just stop at University though as they continue the support well past graduation and are always there to offer advice if needed.

It was a good course but too bad these days you need connections to get a job as no one cares about a piece of paper. The problem is that I have heaps of experience out of Uni and still can’t find work in relation to my degree. Sadly I am unlucky.
