This four-year course prepares students to be a leader in education. It provides essential core learning, research and the competencies required to be an effective educator as well as a pathway to further studies. Students will put their learning into practise with hands-on experience during their studies. Through professional experience they will gain valuable guidance from other educators and develop confidence as a teacher. Students will complete a minimum of 80 days of professional experience in urban, rural, remote or international settings and schools. Students can focus their studies in early childhood, primary or secondary education - or even a combination of these. The Primary education and the Secondary education specialisations of the Bachelor of Education (Honours) can be studied in combination with any of the following courses: Arts. Business, Commerce, Computer Science, Fine Art, Information Technology, Music or Science.
