Recognition

This course is currently awaiting accreditation from the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).

Entry requirements

  • Successful completion of Year 12 with an ATAR of 70 or above AND a study score of at least 25 in any English and completion of any mathematics; OR
  • Successful completion of at least 1 year of tertiary study in a relevant field; OR
  • Successful completion of a Certificate III or IV qualification in a related field such as community services, education support, children's services or nursing AND have at least 1 year of experience in a relevant area of education or support service; OR
  • Successful completion of a Diploma in a related field

Please note you may be required to complete a literacy and/or numeracy assessment. You will also need to hold a current Working with Children Check in order to complete professional placements.

All applicants will need to complete the CASPer test which is part of Altus Suite. This is a requirement for many initial teacher training courses and is a non-cognitive online test that assesses your personal and professional attributes.
