This degree is for future decision makers and leaders. It is designed to give students a thorough understanding of how the law operates as a social institution, including its institutional structure and the process of law reform. This degree is for students who are interested in how the law is shaped by its social context. The aim is to provide students with a high level of knowledge and skills to be able to critically analyse and evaluate the relationship between law and society. Students will develop high level communication, presentation and teamwork skills that will prepare them for leadership roles in the future. The degree does not lead to professional legal practice. Instead graduates will be able to seek employment in the public and private sector and not-for-profit organisations concerned with development and evaluation of policies and practice in a range of areas linked to law and society.

The course itself is very interesting and gives you core strategies & how to implement these strategies in today’s society. A past understanding of different aspects in Criminology is also provided and helps you link these aspects to modern times & how to resolve issues for the future. As a whole, I found it super interesting how something people think is so basic or only law enforcement officers can control, can actually have so many different theories and studies linked to it.
