Prior entering the course. I had worked 15 years in commercial construction industry in Finland. My goal was to find a job in Australia doing the course. Finished my diploma with plenty of high distinction marks. All the jobs were offered to other students with zero experience from industry. Cannot be happy about it.

I liked the course overall, the teachers at rmit are great & are very informative as they’re straight out of the industry & know the ins and outs of what they’re teaching.

The course itself was a good wholistic view of the construction industry and gave good background knowledge on all areas of the course. However to further improve the course i feel more tasks based on actual work scenarios could be put to use

The course itself was well structured with some relative content. Unfortunately it was too theory based and lacking in practical studies. More focus on building systems and real life situations and building methods would be advantageous.

Really enjoyed the course and it's heavy involvement in practical work. Had multiple site visits and teachers who had industry experience. Found my first job through winning an award at an industry night that was recognised by building professionals.
