The course was great. The information gave me a huge insight to early childhood development. I would have liked to learn more on children with additional needs. Overall I felt it was a good step in the right direction to enter educating children. The course is far more than caring, it gives you a tone of knowledge in how children learn and how to support them. The class content is on google class room it often had technical issues and freezes frequently, however when it had no issues it was wonderful to use. The teacher was amazing! She would go above and beyond to clarify anything and explain further. I studied at night.

I think the course offered through Tafe NSW on campus for Early Childhood Education and Care is a good start to the industry and to producing a standard of care that should be upheld as people move in to the workforce. It provides theory and practical skills. I found that most of the teachers had a great understanding of the industry and were helpful in giving useful advice and information. I found the admin side of Tafe, with payments, enrolment and all other student service related things to be quite tiresome and complicated.

Course was simple, very good with study/life balance as you only went to class once per fortnight. The teachers there were very helpful and some went the extra mile to help you succeed.

Course itself is challenging but very rewarding, definitely worth while if childcare is your interest, better being on campus to meet new life long friends and have the teachers in depth explain and help out where possible

The in class components were very insightful but the access to course material, assignments even workbooks on line was a nightmare. I normally love studying on line but I will never do it afain through Tafe.

I enjoyed my time at TAFE doing my Cert 3 in Children's Services. The worst thing about my TAFE experience was that I had a number of disruptive people in my class. It took away from my learning and to me it often felt like the teachers were spoon-feeding the class the content. I'm not sure what the solution to this is, as I believe everyone of all backgrounds should have the opportunity for education but I also feel higher achieving students like myself have a right to a nicer learning environment. I got along well with my teachers and remain in contact with them to this day, they continue to offer me their support if needed and I really appreciate that.
