The teachers were amazing and very helpful. The course itself was enjoyable and I felt challenged to do well. The funding of TAFE, on the other hand, was low and the course needed more financial attention to make it better.

Overall the course provided a good base for a career in an entry-level job. However you might have trouble finding something using only the knowledge and experience from this course., If you are serious about becoming a web developer I would recommend searching for the positions on Seek that you would like to apply for and learning more about the other languages and frameworks not covered by the course mentioned in the application. I would also recommend implementing some of these things into your assignments as practice.

Overall I enjoyed the course, however some teachers felt more involved than others. We were taught Flash which was on it's way out within the industry - the Flash module felt very handfed rather than actual responsive learning. I was surprised at how little people there were there, all the classrooms across the Tafe appeared empty and there were only 4 people in my class. Funding felt low so we had little resources but the Photography, Web Design sections I felt were particularly good and had lot's of practical work involved. I would recommend completing another course after this one that was more specific if you were interested in changing careers. This course alone was more of a taster across a few different subjects than a full qualification.

Very satisfying course. I left high school in year 9 due to bad experiences. Extremely pleased with achieving a diploma later in life. I recommend the course to anyone of any age!

Brilliant course. Was run over 2 years using traditional TAFE methodology, which unfortunately the newer governments are trying to destroy. A TAFE is NOT a University. Hornsby TAFE has a great team of people and would highly recommend for anyone looking to evening learning.

I found Lidcombe Tafe staff to be very skilled and knowledgeable on their given subjects and all with a wealth of first hand experience to pass on the courses where offer hands on with equipment that would be found in any possible workplace.
