I enrolled in and PAID FOR duel Diplomas of Community Services and Case Management.
The classes for these were held 'after hours' one night a week.
The training staff were excellent.
I passed the Community Services Diploma with flying colours then the class group was offered the option of returning for another semester and obtaining a Diploma of Case Management. As Case Management was where I wanted to be job hunting I (and more than half the class decided to accept the offer). It was explained to us that the two study areas had many subjects in common so it was only necessary to now complete the un-duplicated subjects to receive the Diploma of Case Management. I also passed these subjects with marks of Distinction. When I arrived to collect my Diplomas I received the Diploma of Community Services, and the office staff looked at me blankly when I enquired about the Diploma of Case Management documentation. I was informed then that this Diploma was no longer being run. As the lady who had been doing the Administration for the course was now deceased I was left without a further avenue of enquiry....but out of pocket several thousand dollars. My achieved Diploma clearly shows the extra subjects taken and passed.
Due to 'who you know'....as much as now 'what i know after my new Diploma.... I was very very pleased to obtain a job in Child Protection Case Management. From this I have moved now into Team Management.
From working at a supermarket checkout, I now have a rewarding and fulfilling career.

Student review
Good course for entry into the industry. Due to the types of jobs students would get following the course completion, there should be be more focus on the ability to present quality documentation not 3D drawings.
I considered the course itself great and filled with relevant content to take into a workplace. The lecturers were very helpful, professional and fully qualified/experienced in there subject fields.
I think balance between practical and theory could have been adjusted slightly to give you the full confidence to take onto a worksite. i.e Maybe more time using machinery that students are likely to make use of on a regular basis e.g ride on mowers, Dingo mini loaders, turf cutters, hedge trimmers
Overall, a great course and fun campus to consider furthering your education.
