Student review
The course content was interesting and relevant, and the facilities and prestige of graduating at UQ are second to none in Australia. Unfortunately, the academic office provides little support in obtaining career opportunities such as internships and graduate programs, and when I needed assistance with my study due to personal circumstances, the university and my lecturers were unable or unwilling to help. I felt like a number.

Student review
Studying the Master of Arts (Writing, Editing and Publishing) course at UQ is definitely one of the best choices I've ever made. It built upon what I learned in undergrad and narrowed the field of study so that it felt like I was learning effectively rather than just broadly. I learned practical skills in writing and editing, with most of the assessment based on application of what you learn in the lectures. The staff all had real-world industry experience and most were published authors or poets. They know what they're talking about and they will pass on practical information about the publishing industry (not just Australia's but around the world) and how to make it after your studies. I recommend it for anyone who wants to narrow their focus in the fields of writing and editing and who wants to break into the publishing industry.
