Why study this course

Students develop a variety of writing styles, techniques and voices and learn about character, structure, theme, language and visual storytelling to enable successful writing in numerous mediums. Through a variety of subjects and assessment types, students will also gain valuable skills in developing, executing and reflecting on creative writing projects. Students will explore the terrain of the creative writing industry and gain an understanding of publication and production processes of creative work. Subjects such as literature, philosophy and film studies will complement core creative writing subjects, giving students valuable skills in analysis, critique and contextual awareness.
