What a pleasant surprise! I was badly disappointed when I didn’t get accepted to study a bachelor of aviation at Griffith, but with being awarded my second preference of USQ, I thought I’d give it a go. That was by far one of the greatest decisions I have ever made! USQ’s degree is so much more up to date, and all of our subjects are directly relevant to aviation (i.e. we studying things like Aviation Business and Human Factors, rather than math and chemistry). We have lecturers that have come straight out of the aviation industry so we get great advice and assistance in finding jobs and who to apply through. USQ has a state of the art flight simulator, and our flight training is included as a part of our course. The campus itself is all lovely and new, very modern and newly renovated, it’s not massive so you don’t have to worry about getting lost or taking half an hour to walk to your class room. USQ is also the highest uni in Queensland for graduate employment, which is very reassuring to know, and through the Bachelor of Aviation you meet with interesting commercial pilots almost every week from who come to give presentations at the uni. I would strongly recommend this degree to anyone thinking about studying aviation!
