Informed by critical and theoretical knowledge of evolving social, historical and technological contexts students will develop practical and professional skills in online, radio and film/television production. Students will learn hands-on ways to produce media - using text, audio and video - in traditional and digital, online, converged and networked environments. Students also have the choice of one of five contextual studies strands: Asian media and culture, cinema studies, politics economies communication, literary studies, and approaches to popular culture. Through a range of partnerships, internships and international exchanges students are offered many opportunities to work beyond the classroom on industry-linked projects. Graduates of this course are creative thinkers and problem solvers employable across a wide variety of media sector careers.
