Why study this course

This program provides a program that uses methods and insights in both psychology and the social sciences. This interdisciplinary training opens up flexible career pathways. These pathways are suitable for students who hope to qualify for further training as clinical psychologists, as well as those who would like to apply their background in psychology and sociology to fields as varied as education and training, health and welfare, and human resource management. More flexible than a standard, single-disciplinary degree, this interdisciplinary program offers students the opportunity to use elective sequences to specialise in a wide range of fields, within and beyond psychology. The program also incorporates an extended industry-based field placement through which they can gain hands-on, practical experience with a professional organisation of their choice.

This course provided an excellent introduction to psychology and an overview of how psychology fits into the world. Interesting and relevant, and delivered by exceptional staff.

Student review
An interesting course, with the right amount of challenge. Definitely lacking in regards to practical components, the majority of it was theory based. Placement could be significantly improved to be more relevant to the course and possible career paths of students.
