The course is a hard but rewarding experience, studies for practical and theory work is done through working and studying one day at tafe per week and is very challenging

The course lasted for 6 months with the aim of giving an introduction to the electrical industry and what the roles and responsibilities of electricians are. This includes a basic theory study of DC circuits, an introductory overview of the electrotechnology industry as an electrician and the safety laws and regulations that are part of the industry.

The course itself was useful and does provide basic insight into the trade environment. The online course delivery is a little clunky and they have not fully ironed out some errors in the online tests. The course would be better in concentrating on basic electrical theory and skills expected of a first year apprentice in order to make the course truly beneficial.
