Why study this course

This qualification is part of the Metal and Engineering Training Package. It will provide students with practical skills and knowledge in a range of metals and engineering industry areas. They will learn skills in using tools, measuring and calculating, technical drawing and drafting, load shifting, thermal cutting, using forging and casting equipment, and welding. Students will also learn about safety in the workplace, computing and maths. They will practice the skills they have learned in a workshop environment.
