It is possible to work as a Project Coordinator without formal qualifications, however many employers prefer individuals to have qualifications in the field of project management.

1. Complete a qualification in Project Management. This could be a Certificate IV in Project Management Practice (BSB41515), a Diploma of Project Management (BSB51415), or an Advanced Diploma of Information Technology Project Management (ICT60415).
After gaining experience as a Project Coordinator, consider developing your managerial skills and moving into a Project Manager role with further study, such as a Graduate Certificate in Project Management.
