Think the automotive industry is great? Work for AHG and that will change your mind!
The good thingsClocking off at the end of the day
The challengesAfter all the years I have been in the automotive trade, this place is the worst run business. No morale, no direction, management seem to have goals for their own benefit. Leadership starts at the top, this business seems to lack this quality

    Opportunities, opportunities, opportunities!
The good thingsUnlimited expansion and development opportunities. I personally started as a sales manager and worked up to Dealer Principal within the organisation with no tertiary education requirements.
The challengesThe hours can be long and challenging and the work can be consuming, but for someone who is committed, it is a great opportunity

Hopefully AP Eagers can sort this horrific mess of a company out. Never again will I work for, recommend or give positive feedback on AHG.
The good thingsSome of the staff are wonderful people with good values and morals.
The challengesThe management team with a personal agenda in everything they do, unable to recognise good staff and treat them the right way.

    2 years too many.
The good things- Sometimes staff can make the workplace fun and enjoyable. - You can have moments of elation whenever you make a really good sale. - Selling techniques can strengthen due to constant customer interaction.
The challenges- You are purely a number there and there is no room for error with even worse support/ongoing training. - Their expectations are ridiculously high with no actual implemented plan of how to achieve said expectations. - Unprofessional method of hiring with no negotiations on pay packet. - Always work weekends. - Completely unfair commission structure rendering your efforts not worthwhile. - Corporate entity whom only want profit but won't invest to upgrade infrastructure or work-sites.
