I’ve been feeling really discouraged. I’ve been applying for so many jobs, and facing rejection again and again is starting to hurt. I honestly don’t know what employers are looking for anymore. I try my best, I put in effort, and I keep trying to improve, but it still feels like nothing is working out. It’s exhausting and sometimes it makes me question myself even though I know I’m capable. I’m tired of not getting a chance,I wish someone would just see the potential I know I have.

I’m a 21 year old male who has very mild autism. I would say socially I’m not always the best but am always willing to help customers. I work at Coles doing various things and the last 6-7 months has been mainly working by myself which I do like but the work itself is a massive overload. I just don’t know what to do and what else I’d even be interested in. I don’t fully believe in myself due to having autism and it makes me feel down sometimes.

Is it just me, or is finding a job that even sits you done for an interview really difficult at the moment? I’ve applied for over 40 jobs in the last 2 weeks, and not a single one has even looked at my application??? I’m not necessarily under qualified either.

as a teenager in australia it is so hard to find a job:,) we’re constantly getting ignored even by the people who say they are “constantly hiring” even the ones that say no experience needed. ive been applying to jobs left and right and im not getting a single response back. they say teenagers need to get a job from now to provide them in the future, im 17 and i am honestly so eager for a job but theres no luck. does anyone have any advice?

How to deal with salary interview questions? In a screening interview I just had, the HR person asked my salary range straight off the bat and I felt put on the spot because usually that comes up later. What's the best thing to say in this situation? I'm not good at wheeling and dealing but I also don't want to undersell myself.

Can someone honestly explain to me how a newly appointed forklift driver is meant to gain any experience at all when not a single company will train and instead just hire experienced forklift drivers. For me as a 19 year old with warehouse experience it has been near impossible to even get one foot in the door in terms of forklift work, i’ve been constantly applying for a month now and have gotten no where. If anyone has any tips please share i need help.

I don’t understand why its so hard to get a job :( ive been trying for months and i just feel so lost.. nobody replies to my applications, ive been to 2 interviews and only heard back from one which i was rejected from because of experience (it was maccas ??) and my availability which i told him that i was available at all times so it makes no sense :( i really don’t understand why its so hard as a teenager to get my first job.

Dear employers, PLEASE tell us what you want. It feels like no one even reads resumes. I’m trying every strategy, every template.... it still goes nowhere. Is it really this hard now? What do you want to see? Because I’m tired and lost.
