The good thingsDecent Salary but probably not enough given you may not get home till 10/11pm & are back in at 8 - depending how far away you live in Australia
The challengesClient absolute unreasonable a-hats. Amdocs make it worse by pandering.

The good thingsGood company, good salary
The challengesNot much horizon for employees in Australia and hard to get promotions in general. The management team in Australia is hopeless and is not focused on employees or on driving the business forward

Good but full of challenges that have prepared me for other roles in other companies.
The good thingsAmdocs is a very professional company with good processes in place
The challengesThey are very immature when it comes to Project Management and ensuring that it is driving the projects. Amdocs has been around for 30+ years delivering projects yet they border on professional incompetence when it comes to Project Management.

Not very professional management. Most co-oworkers great.
The good thingsManagement is so good and encouraging when you \"go above and beyond\" without expectations for reward.
The challengesThe real challenges was working with coworkers who look down on you, even though you are covering them. These same people like making trouble between you and management. When you finally have to courage to stick up for yourself - you would sadly find out that management side with the one who makes the most noise- so frustrating.

Amazing what you can endure when you really enjoy what you are doing
The good thingsThe best job I ever had. 100% job satisfaction, true empowerment to get things done, personally rewarding and the company rewarded it too
The challengesThe company itself. No idea of the cost of doing business or the cost of winning business. In the end, it was cost cutting and the reluctance or inability to invest in getting new business that closed them down in Australia

Though the pay is average as compared to its counterparts, Amdocs is a fun place to work. It provides good work life balance, lot of learning opportunities and some really nice teams to work with.
The good thingsGood place to work, lots of new technologies to learn which helped me with my career. Good processes in place as well. Good management is an added advantage. I was lucky to work with some great people.
The challengesIt is quite challenging sometimes to get the things done due to dependencies on various other teams. Not many opportunities for promotions/growth. The projects were quite adhoc. So, I had to keep switching technologies and learning new stuff frequently.
