    Would not recommend 0/10
The good thingsThe customers were great
The challengesDisappointing doesn't even begin to describe it. I would not recommend working here, neither would I choose them as a provider for a loved one.

My experience was good had lots of beautiful team leaders all were very approachable including Management. How ever some decision making around the high needs YP was not acceptable living arrangement to my own moral compass,( please note this had a lot to do with budget direction like most organisation come across this issue unrealistic government budget requirement ) with all community Services, however for the most I had felt very part of a strong network of Aruma team with all stakeholder. I do miss kids and my Co worker This organisation will always have a place in my heart.
The good thingsLove the support from like minded colleges YP always the priority to a beautiful supporting staff.
The challengesNDIS funded Equipment for YP being held back or delayed for over 15 months

    Worst workplace ever.
The good thingsThe clients were diverse and interesting. Lots of opportunities for skill development.
The challengesToxic work environment. Staff encouraged to throw each other under the bus so it became a race to see who could dob first.

Aruma is an incredible organisation dedicated to high quality care for all the young people and customers they support. They care about you as an employee and you do feel valued and supported in your job.
The good thingsThe young people - seeing them thrive through providing quality trauma informed care, homely environments, consistency. The staff - most people’s genuine desire to help the ones we support and enrich their lives through quality care. Management - Management have strengthened and the weaker Management have moved on creating a better and more supportive working environment. HR - Strong and very supportive HR team who are always very responsive, knowledgeable, professional and supportive.
The challengesIn every job you’ll find employees at all levels who are only in it for themselves. Working with these people can be a challenge.

Great company to work for! Lots of positive change in the last few years.
The good thingsAlways putting the customers first and working hard to get the tools support workers need to do the best for the customers. Great team culture and a large company who looks after their support workers.
The challengesIndustry related challenges like individual funding but not related to the company itself

Management always in meetings and unavailable.
The good thingsThe participants and your working colleagues.
The challengesManagement always in meetings, poor communication among the management to team. Client concerns often overlooked or not addressed. A lot of responsibilities that should have been handled by management or a senior support worker/team leader were often placed back on the support workers to complete.
