    Made me feel absolutely terrible
The good thingsNo good things at all
The challengesI regret attending the interview at this company (autosports group Berwick) —not once, but twice. I was even called back a second time, only to be told they wanted to continue interviewing other candidates. It felt highly unprofessional. The HR manager’s expressions during the interview were distracting, and the head manager seemed unsure about what they were looking for in a candidate. While rejection is understandable, being treated disrespectfully and having my time wasted is not.

    Constant belittlement
The good thingsBuilt my technical skills and gained broader exposure within the network.
The challengesDismissive treatment and a lack of growth opportunities, with clear need for more respectful communication and better development pathways.

No work-life balance, toxic management, trade your mental health for money - be careful
The good thingsColleague and customer relationships
The challengesEverything - minimal guidance, micro-managerial conditions, extremely high workload, ridiculous KPI’s

Do not work here if you want a happy working life
The good thingsNothing to list here.
The challengesManagement, toxic working environment. Not support from management. The service manager doesn’t know how to manage people. He micro manages the staff. Treats that like dirt

Please avoid working in brighton bmw if you value improvement, leadership or healthy company culture.
The good thingsTechnicians and some team members are fantastic. Work hours are good.
The challengesToxic environment, the managers are the worse I’ve ever encountered. Out of touch management not understanding the difficulties of the current situation. No proper training or guidance. always giving misinformation to staff. overpromised and under delivered.

Doncaster BMW offers no real work-life balance. Staff work long hours with no proper breaks, and overtime is unpaid since it’s assumed commissions cover it. However the sales targets set were extremely difficult to achieve, which meant that the commissions paid became very low. This further increases the likelihood that my pay has fallen below the minimum requirements.
The good thingsFree lunch on Friday fortnitely, though service advisors rarely have time to eat it. Most of the customers and work mates are nice people.
The challengesThe work culture is poor — mechanics often work unpaid overtime. Service advisors are pushed to overcharge customers. The Aftersales Manager overpromises and underdelivers. In fact, I requested a detailed breakdown and clarification of the commission but it was not provided.

do not work for this company
The good thingssome of the staff are really lovely.
The challengesthere's no parking, commissions are underpaid, then payroll tax you at 48% after super has been taken out and tell you you'll get it back at tax time, they will sell you a dream at your interview which is all lies.

Better off investing your time somewhere else.
The good thingsOnly a few people are good to work with.
The challengesWorking here was hands down the worst job I’ve ever had. Management was disorganized, unprofessional, and clearly only cared about numbers — not people. Training was a joke, they throw you to go out stand and meet costumers and once your qualified they expect you to hit impossible quotas. The atmosphere was toxic. Backstabbing was the norm, and if you weren’t part of the ‘inner circle,’ good luck getting decent leads or support. HR? Basically nonexistent. Any concerns were brushed off or turned back on you. They preached ‘teamwork,’ but it was every man for himself, and upper management encouraged cutthroat tactics. I wouldn’t recommend working here to anyone — unless you enjoy being micromanaged, underpaid, and blamed for everything that goes wrong

Just an Amazing Company I started in 2013 with ASG as a tech and have worked my way up to workshop controller, workshop manager and now Service manager, ASG has been instrumental in my career progression with opportunity and support given along the way, there is reward to those who put in the hard work and strive to achieve. I highly recommend ASG and can't thank the management team enough.

Toxic Culture and poor management all the way from the topPositives: The BMW brand its self, training and support is top tier. Negatives: As above, the toxic, lacklustre and profit over people management. Lack of competency within middle and upper management on how to effectively run a department and manage a team. ASG Focuses heavily on cost cutting and expense reduction at the cost of basic workflow procedures being inhibited with lots of red tape. The politics within the dealer I worked at were second to none.

It was a deeply disheartening experience. It's unfortunate to discover that such a well-recognised dealership is plagued by internal issues that only become apparent once you're on the inside.
The good thingsThe BMW brand itself.
The challengesThere’s not much to highlight. The work hours are excessive, the workload is overwhelming, and there’s minimal support or recognition from management. The company lacks a genuine workplace culture, yet leadership seems firmly convinced otherwise.

The good thingssome team members were enjoyable to work with.
The challengesManagment was horrible, toxic and unfair. favourtism is a huge thing there if you dont sell 12 cars a month you get made feel like you are worthless and they pressure you to the point of quitting.

Rewarding for those who put in the effort and work hard!
The good thingsIt's an automotive business run by proper car dealers, not those who think they know what to do never having sold a car. The commission structures are fair and reward those who work hard and put in the effort. Good career development opportunites with the top staff being moved around and up the ladder.
The challengesIt's a hard work 7 day a week environment, with no working from home, and an always on requirement.

Five Dock NSW 20465 to 6 years in the role, former employee
was fun even for the fact that the owner was there pacing up and down the showroom bouncing a ball (Eccentric) asking the sales exec's if there are any deals etc.......????
The good thingsGreat work culture and colleagues and good natured knock around sort of guys.
The challengesTyre Kicker Customers who come in and want Test drives and are just shopping the car to buy it at the lowest possible price and are only coming into your dealership to get your lowest price so they can go to another dealership and get them to beat it, usually Parramatta, Sutherland,Mosman, or Zetland only that the first 3 mentioned are owned by the same individual who owns Five Dock. So essentially we are just cutting one another's throats.

    Would not recommend to anyone.
The good thingsBrand association with BMW.
The challengesManagement are terrible and unsupportive of staff. They have incredibly unrealistic expectations regarding workload. There is quite a toxic culture among the group and the dealerships - no one had nice things to say about the business.

A company with lots of rewards to offer based on performance, behaviour and professionalism.
The good thingsGood commission structure, great work environment, working with professionals. Management team able to provide a support structure and the right training and development program to ensure you succeed. Current Sales Manager at Audi Indooroopilly - Ryan H - is very supportive and always there to help. Very rare in this industry.
The challengesProduct knowledge is something you will always have to keep yourself updated with. You do get sent to training courses paid by the company to help with that. Good problem to have.

Only suitable for those who thrive in toxic workplace environments.
The good things-Fancy year end Christmas parties -Big company and they are willing to give you discounts if you want to purchase a car
The challenges-Many Financial controllers - most are inexperienced or not sure what's going on at the ground level, many of them gained positions through connections. -Work Related - work is only done by a few good hardworking people in a team, the rest are just there to put on a show.
