Company doesn't care about workers, doesn't address problems, and expects too much The good thingsConsistent and flexible hours as a casual. Good protection from angry customers by manager, and the fairly frequent staff lunch was nice (however it was bought by other employees, not the company). Genuinely good colleagues.
The challengesIn my 2 years of working here I saw 6 managers come and go. Each new manager had grand ideas to get the place to function efficiently, but it never worked. My first week working there I got electrocuted by a damaged cable that wasn't tested (should've taken that as an omen). The equipment would break frequently and wouldn't get repaired/replaced for weeks, potholes littered the yard, inadequate sun protection and consistent overbookings made it so we couldn't do our job properly. They built a detailing shed (after 6 months of construction) that was supposed to improve workflow but was never finished and stood without power or plumbing. I would go above and beyond but never received any recognition. In the end the detailers were let go and replaced with cheap contractors that did a poor job. The full-timer staff slaved away in horrible conditions for minimum wage, while the customer service team sat in an air-conditioned office, earning upwards of $3k in commission per month.
