    Junior doctors avoid!
The good thingsFellow junior doctors were nice. Nursing staff very nice.
The challengesVery toxic culture in many of the units, especially the critical care specialties. It's fine if you only expect a pay check, but don't expect any more.

Hard to believe a health service can be this toxic in 2025.
The good thingsMet some lovely people during my time here.
The challengesVery poor management. Toxic culture that filters from higher management, and no desire to listen to staff and implement change. Dated IT systems, and minimal car parking for hospital staff.

I’d rather work at SJOG! And THAT’S saying something.
The good thingsTrauma bonded to colleagues.
The challengesTerrible management structure with people who forgot what it was like to care and work directly with patients. Toxic work culture. If you’re not in the ‘good old boys club,’ you’re nowhere.

Good place to work but a lot of internal politics and power struggles negatively impacting patients
The good thingsSome really good staff and management trying to do the right things and provide best service for patients
The challengesUnder resourced, the population in the area has exploded and the service hasn't been funded to keep up with demand. Also a lot of services don't work together and this was incredibly frustrating when trying to coordinate follow up and discharges etc
