    The most unprofessional company I have ever worked for.
    The good thingsThe only good thing is home time.
    The challengesYou can definitely tell the fitters who have actually worked for a proper tyre shop e.g TyrePower, Bridgestone etc. from the Bob Jane trained ones,from fitters not knowing how to do anything above 19" to constantly counter balancing wheels and to just being flatout lazy e.g not cleaning workshop ,sitting around vaping in front of customers and spending 30-40 minutes in the toilet when there is work to be done ,in 6 months working there they went through 8 or 9 staff including 1ic ,2ic and foreman in the end I got fired for going off my head at the 1 other fitter because I was the only one bloody working while he vaped and sat around.and on top of all that you will only ever get 37.5 hours per week because they force you to have an RDO every week while being paid the absolute minimum hourly wage,it's the perfect job for someone that doesn't want to earn more than $800 per week

    Having personal doing interviews to be on time because if it was other way around I wouldn’t get job

    The challengesHaving the person that is doing the interview to turn up. Went for interview at Penrith store turned up at my interview time to be told that the person doing the interview is not there and was told that they had just spoken to the person doing the interview and that to tell me to come back at 1pm. Came but at 1 pm the same person I spoke to last time said that he isn’t here. Then 10 minutes later was told that he forgot again than was told that he emailed me to come back at 3pm. At this point I was really unhappy with being told a number of times he was late and to come back later. It got me thinking if they are like this when interviewing people what would they be like when working for them.

    Incompetent Area Manager
    The good thingsTight knit team at a store level
    The challengesIncompetent Area Manager who allowed negative results and behaviours to happen in the store prior to me starting with the business and then pinned all poor results on me. Had my job threatened 4 times in 6 weeks, they try to use this as a scare tactic. Senior management is horrendous, they sent out an email asking staff to leave a good SEEK review due to influxes of negative comments from previous employees.

    The challengesReviews of past tyre fitters can improve or more thought given to a review I’ve seen many go as quick as they started not that it’s a horrible job but the fact that all they have been trained in previous roles is the wrong way with short cuts my suggestion is if you would love to work in a professional busy role and learn the correct way to do them then the Bob Jane team is the place for you

The tyre industry is an infinite learning curve, with tough but rewarding lessons. I was inspired by Bob and Bill Jane’s story—true Aussie grit that drives this family business. Sitting with Rodney at a manager’s conference was a privilege, revealing the “sauce” of T-Marts: Aussie values and memorable customer experiences. These sparked dinner table talks that grew sales—one happy customer brought five more! Under Kim’s leadership, I thrived, boosting store success with traditional values. New management later struggled to uphold Bob’s vision, which was tough. This job taught me to create moments that matter.     Ive had to learn alot as I was not exposed to tyres prior to commencement of the job. It's been challenging but my overall management skills and tyre knowledge have sharpened as a result. It's translated to improved personal and professional results.

    Bob Jane T-Marts has shown me that it's totally Committed to going the extra mile for every customer and staff member in our T-Marts, we are committed to providing a service that is above and beyond others, second to none.
    The good thingsI really like how the company spends time engaging with its employees, to build and strengthen their relationships with fellow employees, there is also a huge amount of train on offer for anyone wanting to better their skills and progress through company if that is what you desire.

    Has a high staff turnover, think about that before working here.

    The challenges9 hour shifts & told to do cleaning on my break. Boss swearing & having tantrums with a room full of customers. Customers telling me they won't be back because of the way they were spoken to by him. B*lly to younger staff, no staff discounts. If you value your sanity don't work here.

    not an overall pleasant experience, seem to work hard 6 days a week to convenience the higher officials.

    The challengesEVERYTHING. No work life balance at all. Corporate only care about making money and pleasing customers. Corp refer to employees as “s**t kickers”. Just not a pleasant place to work at, only thing that holds it together is your fellow workers tend to be really good people. Franchisee’s seem to be hard done by and so many little rules and regulations. Main problem is the pen pushers in head office.

    Huge ups but absolute lowest of lows, take the good and then get outta there.
    The good thingsIve met some of the greatest people in my time with the company. Also learning a skill and being able to help friends and family with something so overlooked(tyres). Experiencing different cars and the different personalities that you come across.
    The challengesAlways understaffed and always expected to perform, and to out-perform prior achievements. They like to squeeze every penny out of you as they continue to move the goal-post and have you chase what feels like an unrealistic goal. And thats on top of being a low paying job. Poor management was always an issue, unstable/unhappy staff, Working every Saturday (work/life balance), and just how physically demanding the job could be. Often worked with no breaks especially when lack of staff. Was good when I was single, but struggled when tried supporting a family.

    The challenges- National managers change strategy almost daily and the two rarely agree. One is genuinely great and one thinks his "fantastic". - Equipment in store all dated and aged - Strategies, policies and procedures outdated - very adhoc and reactive. - low pay big hours no empathy or care
