When your replacements only lasts 2 weeks on the job, you know there is a deeper issue!
The good thingsThe beautiful residents and the majority of the hardworking staff
The challengesWhat was once a great place to work changed with the changing of management. Morale decline significantly. Management does not listen. Took over rosters. Took shifts off staff. Put staff on night shift. Watched as you entered and left work. Changed meetings to suit their personal life and not the needs of the business. Many complaints lodged were ignored by HR and upper management advised staff not to lodge any further complaints as they also control HR. Sick and annual leave declined even though management could have as much holidays as they pleased even though they haven't even been there a year and not entitled to that much leave yet. Came in and left work as they pleased. Defiantly does not lead by example! Management removed a memorial for a much loved staff member and friend without warning. This action triggered a lot of emotional distress for staff. There was no reason to remove the memorial except to flex they could do what they want. A disgraceful and unprofessional act.!

Poor management and lack of effective communication/coordination within the team.
The good thingsI loved the residents I cared for and I miss some of my colleagues, as I don't work there anymore.
The challengesThere is no support for staff. Management needs to improve work environment so that staff feels supported.

There are much better employers out there!
The good thingsFun team of carers and allied health staff. Care managers and Care coordinators were awesome too.
The challengesThe PCW Team Leaders for Brisbane South Community Care are arrogant, rude, abrupt and they cannot manage their staff because they appear to be incompetent of that. They severely need further education and a higher standard of job requirements. I do not believe that they are qualified enough for the role of PCWTL. The PCW Team Leaders for Brisbane South do not care about the staff out on the road who are working hard, they are given minimal to no recognition. Nearly everyday was a challenge when they were involved.

I enjoy working there because of the supportive management, facilities, caring team, positive environment and friendly team.
The good things I really enjoy working at Bolton Clarke because of the supportive management and the friendly, positive work environment. The team is caring and respectful, which makes every day fulfilling. I feel valued and appreciated, and it motivates me to give my best in supporting residents and making a real difference in their lives.
The challengesWhile I truly enjoy working at Bolton Clarke, one thing I find challenging is that sometimes the staffing levels can be low, which makes it harder to provide the level of care we aim for. However, I understand this can happen in aged care settings, and I always do my best to manage the situation and support my team.

Just another corporate grinder posing as a not for profit good willed company that care sooo very much!
The good thingsMost residents are wonderful, some staff care.
The challengesThe stress/expectations to pay rate do not align at all, the incompetence and care factor of most of the staff members, management and upper management think of you as a number. rewarded for doing your job properly, let's give you more work and burn you out, but offer no option to advance career.

The challengesManagement only look after their favourites, they don't want to deal with issues just put it in the too hard basket. Very toxic workplace with clicky groups. Company all about money and the cuts they make in their budget really show that. You can't dress up a pug in pearls.

The good thingsI didn't like anything after a year. I was there 11. I loved the residents. But the management was soul destroying.
The challengesExcess workload. Made to feel very sad. A number of staff went through this. We worked very hard, but no appreciation was shown. Hardly had time to eat, or go to the rest room. They didn't care.
