Your love of caring is the currency the company spends to attract new clients. They will spend it. The good thingsTypically, the people you work directly with as a low level employee will be brilliant. Care workers, Support staff, OTs and OTAs, Nurses, etc. Everyone will care so much. You might even get a site manager who will push boulder up hill all day.
Caring for clients is wonderful and rewarding. You build relationships that makes your every day feel like you've made a positive impact on the world.
The challengesDecision making management - the sort of people you never see, couldn't care less about you or clients. Not-for-profit is a myth. They will never approve conditional improvements unless it's your sites' turn to be the shiny new project.
Staffing is cut so lean that 80% of the time you will have just enough people that your lunch brake feels like letting everyone down. In the 20% of the time when there is multiple urgent care requirements, you will be short 1-2 people.
Everyone you work with will have suffered an injury in the workplace and there will be an environment that highly discourages making any compensatory claims.
If you take a job here, make sure you read your contract back to front.
