    Great place to work.
The good thingsGreat people, great team. A range of employee benefits. Good work/life balance.
The challengesThe pay is a little lower than what you might find elsewhere but this is offset by excellent flexibility, a great team to work with, and additional employee benefits.

Run away, this place will break the strongest person
The good thingsA few of the staff are friendly and welcoming.
The challengesPoor management, if you enjoy being gaslit and micromanaged this is probably a good employer for you. Terrible culture, toxic management, lots of the team are unhappy and looking for a way out of this place

    Hostile and Toxic.
The good thingsOffice location is very central and easy to commute, facilities are mostly nice when kept clean.
The challengesThe environment and culture is toxic and hostile in the Surry Hills office. This is brought on by extremely poor management which presents no leadership, no direction and no foresight. I would highly recommend avoiding this company as it causes issues with your mental health which is seen by management as not an issue.

Those who work here may not appreciate how good it is.
The good things The opportunity to assist Small to Medium business in a variety of industries has proved beneficial for my career both in skill and experience development and it was wonderful to seek advice from industry experts
The challengesWorking in isolation at times may not be for some and an unfortunate redundancy

    poor experience
The good thingsnot much to tell, really not much to tell.
The challengesEveryone works in silo, which is not good for sharing things such as experience, skills and info. Unrealistic target/goals set up by your superior without necessary support , training and incentives. Some managers up to the director level do not know much about the work and often failed to show leadership and directions.

    Great role! But terrible management.
The good thingsI had a very unique role the first of its kind so I was able to create my own PD and operate my way. Had a great support team.
The challengesManagement team was terrible... zero support, lack of strategic thinking, not willing to evolve and change. Long term managers with old ways of thinking, extremely high turnover of staff. No strong leaders.

This used to be an amazing place to work for but it has been corrupted by a bloated and incompetent management team.
The good thingsThe people really makes the company. All the lovely people in support positions are the absolute backbone of the business.
The challengesManagement. The management at this company is deplorable. Communication is awful and they only care about looking good for the CEO. Time and money is wasted on pointless ventures and projects that go no where.

management are pathetic, self centred and only care about themselves, not their staff
The good thingsnot many at all. If i must, work life balance
The challengeseverything, terrible old head office and a mentality to match. Management have no clue and everything is controlled by HR. No room for growth and no vision for you at all.

    Feb 2018
5 to 6 years in the role, former employee
Was a good role until they moved away from their original core principals.
The good thingsIt used to be good when the focus was on helping business remain compliant and mitigate risk. Unfortunately they have moved more in a Sales and dollar centric direction. It's not consultative anymore it's purely trying to sell products and services which aren't suitable for the target market.
The challengesManagement lacks leadership and direction. A number of changes were implemented in the management teams and since then the organisation has gone down hill. Sales teams are struggling to achieve unrealistic goals, the goal posts are always shifting and for the work that is expected , the remuneration falls way short compared to other similar organisations.

    Could be so much better
The good thingsDedicated staff. Work for an organisation which actually strives to improve the business & social environment in NSW
The challengesAll the challenges of the organisation stem from its incompetent management - mid-level to senior. They have no business, leadership or people management skills what-so-ever. because th organisation is very public service-like, these managers remain in their position for a large number of years & in doing so, completely cripple the entire organisation from ever reaching its full potential

    Toxic culture
The good thingsSome people that I worked with were absolute superstars, however after a year they went on to bigger and better external opportunities.
The challengesThe management... if you can call them that, have no idea what they are doing and reactionary. As a consequence the talent leaves and the punchers in and out stay.

The good thingsGreat employee benefits! And since being with the NSW Business Chamber I have been lucky enough to gain a promotion thanks to the support and training offered by upper management.
The challengesNothing stands out, however I suppose being based in Adelaide and the Chamber being located in NSW can be somewhat challenging but nothing that is not workable.

I love working for the Chamber!!! I've spent the last several years as a contractor and didn't hesitate when they offered me a permanent full time position.
The good thingsGreat team environment with lots of support in future career development. This is the first position I've been in that I feel like I can move forward and know that I will have my manager behind to support me.
The challengesBeing a fast growing company the only real challenge is keeping up with the new acquisitions and business units.
