Manipulative and Micromanaging to the core
The good thingsGood clients and work friends WFH flexibility
The challengesConstant micro-management, low pay compared to similar roles elsewhere, high workload post-training, inflexible and draining schedules, and a negative experience due to a difficult team leader and Helpdesk. Poor training and support from help-desk.

Great opportunity for personal and professional growth in an exciting industry doing purposeful work
The good thingsCSC gives me an opportunity to work with people who are genuine and care about you. It is a values based organisation who foster growth, as an org and as individuals. CSC puts their members at the heart of everything, for our goals to the direction we move it. Awesome benefits for employees, learning and development / training, plus the fantastic SuperYou health and wellbeing program.
The challengesThings move quickly and this can be challenging for some in the team at times.

Love the opportunity to explore, learn and grow
The good thingsWithin the grad program, I like the flexibility and the opportunity to learn and explore business areas of your choice.
The challengesThere need to be more D&I initiatives and the firm needs more gender equality. Ease of performing daily tasks needs to improve with the help of technology.

Good and supportive work culture, with opportunity to grow and develop your skills.
The good thingsWide range of opportunities for development, a great office space with the ability to work hybrid, friendly and sociable colleagues.
The challengesCustomer-facing roles can be more emotionally intense due to the nature of the industry. A lot of change occurring across the business but change management has been extremely helpful in providing clarity and assistance.

Really satisfying seeing how my role contributes to the overall structure of CSC and how we work as an organisation.
The good thingsI like the culture and friendly environment it has become since the old Comsuper days. Great work life balance and although it can get pretty busy, I still feel i can take time off without feeling guilty.
The challengesCSC is going through an extensive transformation which can be challenging at times from an individual perspective however, the management of the change has been very transparent thanks to our leaders

If you are passionate about making a difference through a career with CSC, you're in the right place and will be looked after!
The good thingsI've found everyone I work with to be very passionate and driven to support CSC's customers. No matter the role an individual has at CSC there is an opportunity to make a difference. The values of the organisation are very similar to values I share in my daily life, which makes going to work enjoyable knowing I am doing work that is important. I have been in three different roles since starting at CSC 2 & 1/2 years ago. I've been encouraged and supported to progress through different roles, which I've not been able to do when working for other organisations. The company is very future-focused, which is reflected in all aspects of the business and leadership. This includes transforming business operations and also adapting to the current environment and supporting flexible work arrangements.
The challengesThere is a lot to learn when working in a superannuation environment, however there is plenty of support across the business when you need clarification.

Best place I have worked in a 20 yr career with lots of career progression and sense of purpose that I'm helping our customers.
The good thingsI have a real sense of purpose and a feeling of helping others. The work is meaningful and I was surprised how many other roles apart from the stereotypical finance/accounting/investment roles you would expect. Big focus on customer outcomes, everyone is motivated to make a difference for our customers. The people are great, it's got a friendly family vibe that's still professional. I love the light and bright office with all the perks such as Nespresso machines, end of journey facilities, sit/stand desks etc. Fantastic learning and development opportunities, both personal and professional. Remuneration is great with potential for a bonus based on performance. The health and well being program is also great and you get discounts and vouchers for a range of things for being active and healthy.
The challengesSystems can be challenging as we are going through a digital transformation. As with anywhere your manager can make or break your experience, although I have had great managers to date. There is constant fast paced change to deal with. It's usually geared at making things better for our customers, but if you don't like change and a fast pace then it's not the place for you.

    Great superannuation fund in Canberra
The good thingsCollaborative team, learning and development opportunities (technical and personal), good remuneration including bonus, company benefits that enhanced my health and well-being, career progression opportunities, new work environment, ability to learn from superannuation industry leaders. All in all a great super fund in Canberra.
The challengesHigh degree of workload for some employees. Communication has significantly improved but still has a little ways to go.

No work flexibility and Management didn’t consider personal challenges or provide much support.
The good thingsPay was good. Friendly co-workers
The challengesNo work/life balance or flexibility for staff on new contact. Move to city office made it challenging for staff with small children unless you were under the old Comsuper agreement. Was declined every opportunity to reduce hours to accommodate for school drop off and pick up.
