Mediocre at best, don't expect to be able to pay the bills.
The good thingsDecent pay for EAP organisation.
The challengesNot much work (offerred 1 shift every 4 months), don't respect individuals with lots of work experience but less studies, disorganised (didn’t provide logins and access until well into the role).

If you value work life balance and good health stay away from this company.
The good thingsUsed to be a supportive culture with good values and genuine mission to help people. Since new CEO focus is on making money.
The challengesWhile you can negotiate a reasonable salary you are worked to the point of burnout. Workload is unachievable.

Terrible management/no management. Really unethical. Treats therapist poorly and expect a lot.
The good thingsThe only good thing about this company is they hire amazing therapists. My colleagues were kind, ethical people to work alongside. The clients are also wonderful to work with
The challengesThis company is so terrible to work for. They are incredibly unethical and have no experience in working with people well in a workplace, which is ironic due to being one of the leading workplace wellbeing companies. I worked there for a year and a half and didn't have a clear manager for at least 11 months of this. They don't pay you for travel if you do onsite work, they don't provide evidence for registration (ACA/PACFA etc) (unless your lucky and get a good supervisor who will do this off their own backs). They do not provide proper clinical management. The whole company runs off toxic leadership. If you ask for time off you are revoked, if you ask for support it's a no. If you are sick you get in trouble. They do not reply to emails in timely fashions. The list goes on and on. All of the staff felt this way internally and no one actually felt safe or supported to work there. This is not personal as there was no 1 person ever that you had rapport with. Don't work there.

I really find it hard to believe that the five star reviews below not written by Converge.
The good thingsAt one stage it was an OK organisation to contract to.
The challengesAbsurd and ridiculous management decisions. In fact, I would go so far as to say that were it not absolute failure in action impacting clients I would have found it comical.

    degrading and deskilling
The good thingsthe clients and organisations with whom they work - poor things
The challengesThis company has zero regard for quality, skill or professionalism. The work is sloppy, communication is chaotic, and management shows no respect for contractors or their time. Pay is poor, communication is impossible and any attempt to raise issues is met with gaslighting and/or silence. They exploit effort without accountability or integrity. A complete failure in respect, standards, and basic decency — avoid at all costs.

If I could give this employer 0 stars I would
The good thingsOnce upon a time this company had good purpose, values, people and leaders
The challengesPoor and chaotic leadership from the CEO, cost cutting and offshoring of roles without thinking of the consequences to staff and customers, they will sell a role to you as "fast paced" but what it really means is you will be doing 3 people's jobs and let you go once you can't keep up the same pace. Come here if you ever want a promotion without a pay increase

The expectations are high but staff turn over is higher.
The good thingsMost people are lovely and great to work with. Melb office is nice and good location. Able to work from home a couple days a week.
The challengesPay is low. Management are next to useless and don’t understand what their staff actually do, they do not understand processes. Work load is unmanageable. Zero staff benefits. Low morale. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!

The worst place I've ever worked in.
    The good thingsWorking with clients.
The challengesBy far the worst company to work for. New Managers. Zero skills on how to work in a well being establishment. No regard for staff well being. People and culture, HR, Director of EAP, Talent Acquisition staff are absolutely useless and make promises that never see the light of day. Steer Clear.

I feel supported and appreciated at Converge and my values align with the organisation.
The good thingsA fast-growing organization which I've found welcoming and inclusive. My experience has been that the leaders at Converge are values driven, easy to engage and show commitment to growth of their team members. Employees here are very easy going and, even though I have flexible working options available to me, coming into the office has been my preferred way to work because of how genuine and supportive everyone is.
The challengesFortunately, I've had no challenges. I've found managers to be very pro-active in checking in and in offering support.

My direct line manager asked in the interview ,what would be your ideal to achieve your work life balance with our team and she executed it.
The good thingsThe direct line managers show true commitment to the values of wellbeing /leadership and onboarding qualified clinicians that also uphold the values necessary to work in mental wellness platforms
The challengesI have been fortunate not to have experienced any challenges as a new team member .But I base my statements of respect having worked in the industry a number of years and the experiences I have had.

Converge offers the most caring, trusting and supportive environment where people can excel at their roles, be valued for what they do and work with brilliant people.
The good thingsThe vision and leadership at Converge is second to none, they operate in a transparent and open culture where people are encouraged to speak up and have their ideas heard. They are innovative, outcome oriented in the most supportive way. Employees at Converge are genuine and show passion for the work they do every day,
The challengesThe emotive work we do is always challenging but the well-being of the team is always at the forefront of management who create an environment where people can thrive.

Hugely positive; the work is dynamic and rewarding and the organisation's values in perfect alignment with mine
The good thingsMy experience is very different to the other reviews. I find the culture very caring and supportive. There are many more supportive initiatives to counsellors than other EAPs I have worked for.
The challengesEAP is always fast pace but I enjoy the challenge and reactivity is critical to support the mental health of others. This is part of the industry, not Converge.

Disappointing transition to Resolutions RTK mean I can no longer recommend working for what used to be a wonderful and client-focused company.
The good thingsSome of the staff from the previous era are still present in the company
The challengesConverge used to be an amazing company to work for until it was taken over by Resolutions RTK and the customer's wellbeing stopped being a priority. Similarly, staff are not treated well in any way. Fundamental respect is not practiced on a daily basis.

Work life balance but limited training & career development are not common
The good thingsCareer development opportunities for junior people in Melbourne Good for work life balance Great colleagues and customers Not a lot of negative office politics as soon as you learn the culture
The challengesIt’s comminly known that the Leadership Team are very close to each other, but have little respect for the people on their own team. They devise strategies as a group and implement them with no consultation with their team or front line. They don’t lead as much as you are expected to follow. However they are fairly effective managers just not interested Leaders. Limited career development training or opportunities after the junior stage. If you have worked for an EAP before, then it will feel the same. If you are coming from outside the EAP industry you may find the culture and processes unusual and challenging for a while.
