A business that does not value its people.
The good thingsThe people make the place.
The challengesLack of transparency amongst leadership and sheer reluctance to acknowledge and reward good staff. No clear business direction or values at this point in time.

Hamster in a wheel. Lack of company direction with most senior managers being given the boot after very short tenure.
The good thingsMet lots of smart people
The challengesLots of turnover, including management. No loyalty. Real feeling of instability.

They preach great culture but that’s not what they practice
The good thingsThe people in my team, amazing group of people!
The challengesLots of promises with no delivery. Low salaries and although they promote a good culture it’s a very bums on seats mentality and unless you’re at your desk til all hours you’re not considered working hard. Some management was very unpredictable and one day would walk in happy and the next would ignore you. So many people are scared of management and the anxiety I suffered in this role was ridiculous.

Used to be great, huge decline and now rebuilding ... but can it ever get back to what it was?
The good thingsVery strong on flexible working, diversity and inclusion.
The challengesUsed to be an amazing place to work up till early 2018. Since then prolonged hiring freezes, redundancies, cost cutting and leadership changes have gutted the workforce and killed the culture.

It was vicious and nasty and I'm so glad I got out and found a really good agency to work for.
The good thingsThe creative agency BWM is great to work for and really well led.
The challengesToxic work culture coming from the CEO into the agency I worked for. Really bad service model for clients.

Get a trophy if you last more than 2 years
The good thingsPeople were awesome to work with in corporate departments. One of the best work environment I worked with in my career - Full time cleaner, Kitchens and toilets always clean. You can find forks, knifes, plates in every kitchens. Free breakfast and fruit.
The challengesThe executive leadership team was TERRIBLE. No pay remit in last several years but the company made targets. Culture was BAD. Salary was pay under the market with not much benefits to compensate. There were no business structures, processes with ridiculous timelines to handle global projects. I have been chasing my contract get extended since 3 months from the day of my contract expired. They didn't get back to me until the last week of my contract expired.

Given the difficulty to find digital talent you would think they would invest in career development and pay according to market growth.
The good thingsGood employee benefits if corporate life is your thing.
The challengesSalaries have been frozen for the last few years. They are not holding onto top talent even though they say they do, especially in the media patch. The centralisation project made us feel like numbers not individuals

They can do better by rewarding good talent to retain them. It's a win win for both as a high % of budget and time goes in hiring and developing skills of new people
