Working with DHL has been an awesome experience
The good thingsDHL is definitely a great place to work. From my personal experience, they had great training tools and foundational knowledge since day 1. I am part of a very supportive team, and it has been a privilege to work with them and to make friends along the way. The people here are also provided with opportunities for growth and to learn many skills in the Pharma and supply chain industry. Overall, I am very grateful to work here, not to mention the site lunches with delicious food on site!
The challenges Overall, a good experience. The daily challenges are mostly around the big size of the company and ensuring communication between sites is smooth, but the team has done a great job creating better systems and communication channels; and I am impressed to all the continuous improvement that takes place as DHL keeps growing.

I’ve had a rewarding 14-year journey marked by continuous growth, supportive colleagues, and valuable learning experiences.
The good thingsWhat I like the most about working here is the continuous growth and the supportive environment. I started 14 years ago in an entry-level position and, over time, moved up step by step—from Storeperson to Team leader, and now to my current role as National Operations Manager. Each step in my career has come with new challenges, learning opportunities, and support from both colleagues and management. The teamwork, trust, and positive atmosphere make it a great place to build a long-term career.
The challengesThere’s not much I dislike, but if I had to mention something, I’d say that at times, communication between departments could be improved. Smoother coordination would help avoid delays and make workflows even more efficient. That said, the team is always open to feedback and improvements, which I really appreciate.

Best company I have ever worked forI have worked for DHL for nearly 4 years and without doubt, it's the best company I have worked for. Many companies I have worked for pay lip service to engagement; however, DHL takes employee engagement very seriously and each site has an action plan based upon the annual survey and this is revisited throughout the year. The engagement scores link to annual KPIs and it is a key focus for managers. Learning and development opportunities are run through a global program and managers are required to attend and facilitate courses on a regular basis. I love the people I work with, and the leadership team is great. Everyone is down to earth, approachable and the strategic plan is communicated to all.

The challengesI appreciate the opportunity to reflect on this, but I find it challenging to pinpoint specific dislikes as my experience has been very positive.

A genuinely great place to workDHL is a really great place to work. The people are positive and engaged, and the leadership team genuinely care. Leaders are involved in running training for all levels of employees, and are frequently on site connecting with people. The company provide fair employment conditions and encourage your personal development. Good work is recognised and rewarded, and the company as a whole respects its people. I'd recommend to any of my friends and family to join the DHL team.

I wear DHL with pride and I am very proud to be part of the journey.
The good thingsAbsolutely everything is world class and well laid out keeping people in mind, great processes in place, great facilities, well maintained equipment, career progression opportunities, fair wages and benefits, regular opportunities of interaction via DHL organized events.
The challengesThe element of 'complacency' in staff that take for granted facilities that are offered to keep staff engaged. Challenges are only around personnel and issues surrounding man management.

Working at DHL has been a dynamic and rewarding experience, offering strong teamwork, growth opportunities, and the chance to be part of a global logistics leader.
The good thingsWhat I like most about working for DHL is the strong sense of teamwork and global connectivity. DHL has a truly international culture, and being part of a company that connects people and businesses around the world every day is very rewarding.
The challengesSometimes communication between departments can be inconsistent due to the fast pace and scale of the business. It can cause delays or confusion, but I appreciate that DHL is working to improve this. Overall, the positives of working here outweigh this challeng

Find another place to work. Salary and the responsibility is not worth. the management is very micromanaging. not the place you called a great place to work. career progression is so low here so big no from me.
The good thingsThe team used to be good, and the job used to be fun.
The challengesBack-stabbing culture, ugly politics, management is bad they always say the care about the people but in reality they dont care and high turnover in the last 1 year.

I am the best man on site as my manager said, good for practicing your skills.
The good thingsI can use all the equipment in the warehouse.
The challengesDo the hardest job with less support. Because you know all the positions, then you have to do all of them. You don't even have enough time to do it, most of the time I have 3 to 4 tasks at once, and I have to do multiple tasks with the same pay rate as the normal storeman.

    Look elsewhere
The good thingsFortunately worked for a unicorn operation that is soon to move onto another client.
The challengesIT are extremely amateur; "solutions" implemented in operation are buggy and operation teams usually create their own labour intensive workarounds; management promote based off friendships regardless of skill levels; some extremely talented individuals overlooked and have moved on elsewhere; senior and long serving individuals are immune to criticism and out of touch with todays technology and methodologies which are costing employees jobs.

My experience working with DHL implores me to never work for them ever again.
The good thingsI don't have much good to say for DHL, however from what they advertise, you may have a chance to work global if that is you wish.
The challengesPromotions offered with very high level of expectations required, HR team were not supportive nor effective, due to need for financial sustainability/cut backs staff are expected (however told not compulsory) to work 3-4 + roles due to staff shortages thus incurring overtime. Bad rapport with staff, unapproachable management, company managed to a consistant level of incompentency
